We are approaching the end of our third year of trading and thrilled to still be putting smiles on the faces of people young old. It has been a difficult year for everyone and we are grateful to our customers, new and returning, without your support we wouldn't be here. It has been a particularly strange year for us; moving house in September and an unexpected two week hospital stay in February just gone with a nastsy excerbation of my asthma resulting in Pneaumonia, which meant we attended less events than usual this past year. We are back to attending our weekly events now and excited to introduce our new range of Dinosaur characters. These characters have been inspired by my 3 year old grandson, he has been asking me to make them for him and they have come out better than I could have hoped. He keeps me on my toes for sure.
Coming up this year for us are some exciting new events to attend in Lincolnshire; The Artisan and Craft Fair at The Bomber Command Centre, Lincoln on July 12 2026 and The Day of Lincolnshire Folk at Leadenham Estate, Lincoln on August 2 2026, with many more others to be announced. As well as being busy creating CuddleBuds characters, I have been studying for my MA in Creative Writing which now has only 2 units left, with the final unit being my Major Project running over 23 weeks and will be either a collection of poetry or the beginnings of a novel. You can see my creative writing at work in the short backstories of the CuddleBuds characters.
When I'm not creating characters or studying I am usually found in the kitchen baking sweet treats for the other half, keeping up with his sweet tooth would be considered by many as a full time job on its own! His current favourite is cookies and millionaires shortbread, whats yours? I hope you are all finding ways of keeping cool in this current heat wave, what are you doing to keep cool? I have been pressuring hubby to get our 16 foot above ground pool put up, so I can cool down in that. No CuddleBuds allowed near it, mind.
